LTC sent to BTC address
« on: August 10, 2017, 01:40:43 PM »
Hello,
i have one problem, i sent payment of LTC to wrong address (to BTC address). BTC address was generated in Electrum and LTC sent from my Bittrex. I tried to put the seed of the wallet, where i sent the LTC, to the Electrum LTC (but also other wallets) but didn´t work (seed wasn´t loaded). I tried to use the private keys of the payment, but didn´t work too..

Is there something to do with it, please?

Info about payment:

It should be possible to retain the litecoin if you hold the private keys.

But you payed to an address starting with "3", this is a pay-to-script-hash address.
Why did electrum generate an address starting with "3", was it a multisig address you generated?

Electrum normally generates "normal" addresses starting with "L".

I dont think so, it was classic BTC address. The BTC address (with ,,3,, at the beginning) was generated in classic Electrum and I accidentally sent LTC to this address. :/

Have you recovered your litecoins? If not, I can help you with this; though, I don't often come to this forum. Feel free to email me at: LTCLearner@gmail.com
