CGminer shows I mine at 1.7mh/sec but mining pool shows my miner as idle

This is a weird situation - I show I am mining at my pool at 1.7mh/s but when I login into the pool ( newbielink:http://www.coinrelay.com [nonactive]) my miner is shown as idle. This is when I mine with cgminer. When I mine with GUIminer it's a totally different story. Does anybody know whats going on?
