.dat address but wrong password
« on: September 01, 2017, 03:40:23 PM »
OK so a couple years ago, I somehow miss-typed my password on my wallet. I tried to brute force it with all the combinations but eventually gave up because the 11 litecoin was worth about 12 dollars. I kept a hard copy print out of the litecoin address but I've misplaced the actually wallet.dat file. Recently I was going to try to get a new wallet but realized I can't update the wallet.dat file to reflect the old address because it wants the password.

Is there a way to get the old address into a new wallet.dat file?  So I can then try to brute force it again?
