Newbies / .dat address but wrong password
« on: September 01, 2017, 03:40:23 PM »
OK so a couple years ago, I somehow miss-typed my password on my wallet. I tried to brute force it with all the combinations but eventually gave up because the 11 litecoin was worth about 12 dollars. I kept a hard copy print out of the litecoin address but I've misplaced the actually wallet.dat file. Recently I was going to try to get a new wallet but realized I can't update the wallet.dat file to reflect the old address because it wants the password.

Is there a way to get the old address into a new wallet.dat file?  So I can then try to brute force it again?

« on: December 07, 2013, 05:31:17 PM »
Hello,

For those of you familiar with CGWatcher, it has a log and mine keeps reporting this

[12/7/2013 6:00:00 AM]       Computer is no longer idle, returning GPU intensities to their original values...
[12/7/2013 6:55:29 AM]       The computer is now idle (20 min, 9 sec since last activity, 20 min requirement).
[12/7/2013 6:55:29 AM]       Computer has been idle for 20 min, 9 sec, setting GPU intensities to 10...

Anyone know why its idling? Is it because the pool is down or not connecting?

Newbies / different r9 280x cards in same rig - and crossfire.
« on: December 03, 2013, 03:49:49 PM »
 :P :P

Hey Buds!!!

I bought the last 280X in Toronto, I think.  I have one more coming in the mail. Both are ASUS 280x cards.

I have a chance to buy a used Sapphire 280x.  Is it possible to run different brands in one machine.

Also the crossfire bridge cables, should I use them if I have two cards form the same manufacturer?

Litecoin mining / Re: using different cards in the same miner

SOrry could you be more specific.

I think I did mean 2 chip sets.  I was wondering if I could use 1 x 280x and 1 x 7950, in the same rig?

Litecoin mining / using different cards in the same miner

Would there be any reason why I couldnt use different cards?  For example a 280X and a 7950 in the same mining rig?

There is a store near me that has one of each on sale. But only 1 of each. would it cause any complications?

Any input would be appreciated before I buy them. thanks.

Newbies / used 7950 cards
« on: December 01, 2013, 04:52:25 AM »
I noticed on kijiji in my area a lot of people selling used Radeon HD 7950 cards, often 2 at a time.  I was wondering if its possible that these people have "burnt out" theirs and are trying to pawn them off on someone else.  A few said they would show proof they were purchased in the last 6 months, etc.  And they claim they were used for gaming.

What do you think?
