Litecoin mining / Help get 6th card to work on MSI G45-z87
« on: February 04, 2014, 06:37:10 AM »
Hey guys I have a MSI G45-z87 and trying to get the 6th card to work.

In control panel under device manager the computer sees 6 cards with no error sign over any of the cards.
In CGwatcher it sees the 6th card but has a "-" in stead of "6"  ~ not sure what that means

Ive tried uninstalling catalyst and reinstalling it. Restarted multiple times but nothing.
Im using catalyst 13.11 Beta 9.5.
Running windows 8.1

Please help!
Thanks

Litecoin mining / Help get 6 GPUs on MSI Z87-G45 MB
« on: January 24, 2014, 01:23:06 AM »
Hey guys, trying to fit 6 280xs on one MSI z87-G45 motherboard.

The motherboard has 7 slots but I'm only able to get 5 GPUs working in 4 express slots and the 16x slot closes to the cpu. I cant get the other two 16x slots to work. Even if it is just the five cards.
The only 16x slot that works is the closes one to the CPU.

Anyone have ideas on how to get one more 280x to work?
Im using 1x to 16x powered risers.

Also any suggestions on overclocking programs that work with Diamond and XFX 280x for Windows 8.1?

Thanks

Litecoin mining / Jump PCI 16x slot?
« on: January 19, 2014, 10:32:29 PM »
Hey guys I was curious on how to jump a PCI-16x slot on my motherboards.

The motherboards seem not to recognize the GPUs using a powered riser in the 16x slot.
I have found 1x slot jumper instructions but not the 16x. My 1x slots work fine without needing to be jumped.

Motherboards:
- Asrock H81 BTC Pro
- MSI Z87-G45

Thanks

Cant power rig on, Please Help!

Im currently having new issues.
For some reason the rig won't power up.
Im using a PSU splitter between an 850w and a 102w@.
3 280x cards on the 1020w, 2 280x on the 850w

All of the sudden I can't get the power supplies to turn on.

The original way I had it setup was powering the motherboard and cpu from the 1020 but the 1020 won't turn on or at least the fan doesn't turn on.
The 850W has a red light on it when its plugged in and green when its running.. The red light is on.

When I switch it the other way: 850w powering the motherboard and cpu, the 1020w turns on or at least the fan does and then the 850w turns on for a second with a green light and then shuts off with the red light.

This rig has been working for about 2 weeks and it started acting weird after simply restarting the computer.

Ive tried unplugging all the GPUs from the mother board and power supply.  Leaving the power supplies setup: plugged in the motherboard cpu, but nothing changes.

Also tried different outlets.
Normally the rig powers up automatically when it sees power.
But I'm also trying a power switch but nothing.

Litecoin mining / Need help keeping R9 280x Cool
« on: January 16, 2014, 11:30:30 PM »
I have 5 Diamond 280x's running on one mother board with powered risers. They are in an open case with 4 inches apart from each other.  I have 2 large Vornado fans on them.  But temps run too hot and sometimes the cards get turned off.
Ive tried at least 30 different variations of configurations to cool down the cards without losing speed.
Its about 71 F in my apartment. Im getting around 700KH on each card.

GPU 0: 79 c @ 3651RPM
GPU 1: 73 c @ 3530RPM
GPU 2: 79 c @ 3671RPM
GPU 3: 88 c @ 3734RPM -- This ones keeps turning off
GPU 4: 74 c @ 2125RPM

If someone could please list configs that are working well for them or if any suggestions to be made to my current conf.

Thanks!

Hey guys, I'm having a problem with my Anocoin wallet.
It says no block source found.  Im connected to the internet. My worldcoin and litecoin wallet are connected to the internet and working fine.

When I set up the Anocoin wallet it asked me a couple of questions and I chose for it to work through tor. Maybe thats the problem?
How do I redo those questions so I can choose the other option to see if that will work?
Ive tried uninstalling and reinstalling the wallet. Ive also looked through the preferences.

I am on a Mac.

On another note what are Yalls option on Anocoin and the future of it? Worth mining?

Thanks!

Litecoin mining / High Rejection Rate in CGminer Please Help!
« on: January 02, 2014, 07:25:27 AM »
Hey fellas looking for some help or explanation on my mining concerns.  Ive been mining for the past three weeks with 5 280x (2 MSI, 3 XFX) on one motherboard and hadn't noticed high reject rates until today.Ive mined in various pools of different cryptos and notice higher rejects more than normal.  I don't recall my reject rates being this high but its possible that this is normal and just have not noticed it.Currently mining worldcoin and have 266414 accepts and 1550 rejects and 61 SS(Stales).  I also have one 280x going on a motherboard and noticed same results. Higher rejects than normal.  ---------The only change that I know of is I upgraded my wifi router to a belkin AC1200DB. Could this be the issue? Download speeds are about the same as old router (Download: 14.2, Upload: 1.04The rig running 5 280xs is running a AC Dual-Band wifi usb adapter (857mbps) and the rig running one 280x is using a 600mbps USB adapter.I also notice a difference in my hashing rates in the pools website. While in cgminer my hash rate remains around 3.57MH. I know they are not that accurate but before today I would get 3,500-3,800 KH. Today its bouncing everywhere from 2,300-3,800KH.  I get the same drastic changes in the hash rate in multiple pools not just one. I also do wait about an hour after the mining has began in that pool before taking note of the changes in the hash rate.I haven't made any changes to my conf files but just incase here is my Worldcoin Conf:
